The Tales of Three Trees


Once upon a mountain top, three little trees stood and dreamed of what they wanted to become when they grew up.

The firs little tree looked up at the stars twinkling like diamonds above him.' I want to be covered with gold and filled with precious stones. I will be the most beautiful treasure chest in the world!'

The second little tress looked out at the small stream trickling by its way to the ocean. ' I want to travel mighty waters and carry powerful kings. I will be the strongest ship in the world!'

The third little tree looked down into the valley below where busy men and busy women worked in a busy town. ' I don't want to leave this mountain top at all', she said. ' I want to grow so tall that when people stop look at me they will raise their eyes to heaven and think of God. I will be the tallest tree in the world!'

Years passed. The rain came, the sun shone, and the little trees grew tall.

One day three woodcutters climbed the mountain.

The first woodcutters looked at the first tree and said, ' This tree is beautiful. It is perfect for me.' With a swoop of his shining axe, the first tree fell.

'Now i shall be made into a beautiful chest,' thought the first tree. ' I shall hold wonderful treasure.'

The second woodcutter looked at the second tree and said, 'This tree is strong. It is prefect for me.' With a swoop of his shining axe, the second tree fell.

'Now i shall sail mighty waters,' thought the second tree. 'I shall be a strong ship fit for kings!'

The third tree felt her heart sink when the last woodcutters looked at her way. she stood straight and tall and pointed bravely to heaven.

But the woodcutter never even looked up. 'Any kind of tree will do for me,' he muttered. With a swoop of his shining axe, the third tree fell.

The first tree rejoiced when the woodcutter brought him to a carpenter's shop, but the busy carpenter was not thinking about treasure chests. Instead his workworn hands fashioned the tree into feed box for animals.

The once-beautiful tree was not covered with gold or filled with treasure. He was covered with sawdust and filled with hay for hungry farm animals.

The second tree smiled when the woodcutter took him to a shipyard, but no mighty sailing ships were being made that day. Instead the once-strong tree was hammered and sawed into a simple fishing boat.

Too small and too weak to sail and ocean or even a river, he was taken to a little lake. everyday, he brought in loads of dead, smelly fish.

The third tree was confused when the woodcutter cut her into strong beams and left her in a lumberyard.

'What happen?' the once-tall tree wondered. 'All i ever wanted to do was stay on the mountain top and point to God'.

Many, many days and nights passed. The three trees nearly forgot their dreams.

But one night golden starlight poured over the first tree as a newborn baby in the fee box.
'I wish i could make a cradle for him,' her husband whispered.

The mother squeezed his hand and smiled as the starlight shone on the smooth and sturdy wood. 'This manger is beautiful' she said.

And suddenly the first tree knew he was holding the greatest treasure in the world.

One evening a tired traveller and his friends crowed into the old fishing boat. The traveler fell asleep as the second tree quietly sailed out into the lake.

Soon a thundering storm arose. The little tree shuddered. He knew he did not have the strength to carry so many passengers safely through the wind and rain.

The tired man awakened. he stood up, stretched out his hand, and said 'Peace'. The storm stopped as quickly as it had begun.

And suddenly the second tree knew he was carrying the King of heaven and earth.

One Friday morning, the third tree was startled when her beams were yanked from the forgotten woodpile. She flinched as she was carried through an angry, jeering crowed. She shuddered when soldiers nailed a man's hands to her.

She felt ugly and harsh and cruel.

But Sunday morning, when the sun rose and the earth trembled with joy beneath her, the third tree knew that God's love had changed everything.

It had made the first tree beautiful.

It had made the second tree strong.

And every time people thought of the third tree, they would think of God.

That was better then being the tallest tree in the world.


He Is The God of our valleys too!


Last week I had severe backache, admitted to hospital in the middle of the night. When it come to backache, it make me hopeless because any posture that slightly not 'chun' it really trigger the pain.

I was on strong medication plus injection, i slept almost ALL the time even when nurse came in to check blood pressure i just couldn't open my eyes . I was tough to have a verse to proclaim over and over and believe for healing but i even do not have the time to get up to grab the plate of food that was served in front of me, guess what it is western food-chicken chop with all my favorite side dishes. That time, all that is in me only can function one thing-SLEEP!

Praise God! I was discharged after staying 4 days, finally i am home. Again, i was sleeping round the clock. I couldn't follow proper meal time, simply just couldn't get out of sleep. I passed meal time and i can hear some noises from my stomach and i will start cooking and when i am done with my cooking... Oh my goodness... i can't eat it because i was cooking in dream!

Any position, i got to conscious that any part of my body feel any numbness? If yes, i got to go back to hospital immediately as it is a sign that my main nerve is press. I was in bad time don't you think so? Sometimes, some moment or a season in our life we went through both good and bad time.

I received this article in my mail box that had added strength to my days, here i would like to share it with you. It's from Pastor Joseph Prince, New Creation Church.

In 1 Kings 20, we find the Syrians being defeated by the Israelites. Then, some of the Syrian king’s advisers gave the king what they thought was the reason for their defeat. They said that they had fought on the hills and lost because Israel’s God is the God of the hills. So if they were to fight the Israelites on the plains or in the valleys, they would win.

What stupid advice! They thought that the God of Israel only helped His people up in the hills and mountains, and not down in the valleys.

Now, mountains refer to our good times, and valleys, our bad times. Some people have this idea that God is the God of our good times, but He is not there when we are going through bad times. They think that He leaves us helpless in the valleys, especially when the troubles are of our own making.

My friend, I want you to know that our God is the God of the mountains, but He is also the God of the valleys!

God the Son laid aside His crown of glory, His royal majesty and came down for us, stepping into a human body as a baby. He came down to where we were for the sole purpose of dying on the cross for our sins, so that He could bring us up to what God the Father has for us at His right hand. Jesus came down to crown us with glory and honor, to clothe us with robes of righteousness and make us His bride, sharing everything that He has with us. That is the grace of God. He came down to our valley.

So whatever you are going through right now, know that God is right there in your valley with you. He is holding you in His arms and carrying you through the valley. Victory is already yours. Just as the Israelites were also victorious in the valley (1 Kings 20:28–29), so will you be because the God of the valleys is right there with you!

Hallelujah! I already have the victory because He guards all my bones; Not one of them is broken. AMEN!!!


A Seed to plant



A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose asuccessor totake over the business. Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to dosomething different. He called all the young executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received aseed. He went homeand excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil andcompost and he planted the seed.

Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plantsthat were beginning to grow...

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killedhis seed.Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right.

He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!" When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed -Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and thenannounced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief ExecutiveOfficer! His name is Jim!"

Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. "How could he be the new CEO?" the others said. Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told youto take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead -it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.

When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"

Daily Check-up

I went to the Lord’s Clinic to have my routine check-up and it confirmed I was ill:

When Jesus took my blood pressure, He saw I was low in tenderness.


When he read my temperature, the thermometer registered 40º of anxiety


He ran an electrocardiogram and found that I needed several “love bypasses” since my arteries were blocked with loneliness and could not provide for an empty heart.


I went to orthopedics, because I could not walk by my brother’s side and I could not hug my friends, since I had fractured myself when tripping with envy.
He also found I was shortsighted, since I could not see beyond the shortcomings of my brothers and sisters.

When I complained about deafness, the diagnosis was that I had stopped listening to Jesus’ voice talking to me on a daily basis.

For all of that, Jesus gave me a free consultation thanks to his mercifulness, so my pledge is to, once I leave this clinic, only take the natural remedies he prescribed through his words of truth:

Every morning, take a full glass of gratitude

When getting to work, take one spoon of peace

Every hour, take one pill of patience, one cup of brotherhood and one glass of humility

When getting home, take one dose of love

When getting to bed, Take two caplets of clear conscience



Do not give in into sadness or desperation for what you are going through today.

God knows how you feel......

God knows exactly and with perfection what is being allowed to happen to you in your life at this precise moment.

The old man placed an order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink.



He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half, placing one half in front of his wife.

He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink, next his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them . As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them were looking over and whispering.

Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.'

As the man began to eat his fries, a young man came to the table and politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said, they were just fine - they were used to sharing everything.

People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.

Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said,

'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.'

Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked,

'What is it you are waiting for?'

She answered, "The teeth..."

Look Up! There... is the Holy Mountain!!!


从前有个国家,因为有座圣山而声名远播,各地的人都听过这座圣山。奇怪的是,这个国家的人有个习惯,走路时目光总是注视着地面,从来不把头抬起来。如果你问他们在做什么,他们会告诉你:

“我们当然是在寻找圣山。要不要加入我们?你这辈子一定要看到。”

他们过着这样的生活,不停地到处寻找,走偏大街小巷,看着地图钻研,并且争论要到哪里才能找到圣山。

其实圣山高耸于天空,耐心地等候人们发现它的优美和力量,却只能难过地看着人们盲目乱找,不曾停下来抬起头看它。

国家的另一边,有一面水色如镜的大湖泊。圣山倒映在湖面,人民围绕在湖旁,指着湖面的倒影说他们找到了圣山。

有些人跳入湖泊溺死;有些人认为这座山有邪灵,纷纷走避;还有一些人做出决断;认为圣山根本不存在。

有一天,那些熙熙攮攮、渴望寻找圣山的人群中,有个人突然跌倒,被人群践踏得差点死掉。他平躺在地,心想死期一定到了,他望向天空,然而令他吃惊的是,他看见圣山庄严地高耸在上。他试图告诉大家所见,但是没人愿意相信,于是他独自出发去找通往圣山的路。

那是一段辛苦的旅程,因为沿途陡峻危险,而且一直看不到圣山。他一路上跌倒了好多次,每次一跌倒,就会再度看见他所要寻找的圣山,于是受到激励而继续往前走。
当他往前走的时候,他发现通往圣山道路的人,都是有缺陷的人、病人,或者是背着沉重负担而倒下的人。他终于明白,唯有那些跌倒的人才能看见圣山,唯有那些了解“向下”真正涵义的人,才会懂得“向上”看



Long time ago there was a famous country because of having ‘Holy Mountain’ and it’s well known to everyone from everywhere. People in this country have a weird habit, they always focus on the floor when they walked and never look up.

If you asked them what they are doing, they will reply “of cause we are looking for ‘Holy Mountain’. Do you want to join in our search? You must see it in your life”. This is their life, nonstop searching everywhere, walk through all the streets, study the map, and even discuss where they can find this ‘Holy Mountain’.

Actually ‘Holy Mountain’ is high in the sky, it’s waiting patiently for people to discover its beauty and power, but it’s disappointed by people who search without a purpose and never bother to lift up their eyes to see it.

The other side of the country, there is a pond and the water is like a mirror. The Holy Mountain was reflecting inside the pond, everyone gather around the pond, pointing at the reflection and say that they had found the Holy Mountain.

Some people jump into the pond and got drowned; some believe that there is evil spirit in the Holy Mountain so avoiding themselves from it and some conclude that the Holy Mountain is never existed.

One day, among the searching crowd suddenly a man fall down, he almost died being step by people. Lying on the floor, in his heart he thought that he is going to died, he look up to the sky and he saw the Holy Mountain highly located in the sky. He tried to tell others about the experience but no one willing to believe in him. However, he went alone to look for the Holy Mountain.

This was a difficult journey, there were lots of difficulties and along the journey he cannot see the Holy Mountain. Along the journey he fall down a few times, every fall, he will saw the Holy Mountain this gave him the courage to continue this seemingly impossible searching journey.

When he look ahead of his searching journey, he realized that all the way are those disable people, patience or those fall because of heavy burden. Finally he come to his sense that, only those who fall will see the Holy Mountain, only those who experience 'humbling' themselves will able to learn how to 'look up'.

This article (Chinese version) i read it in a local newspaper.
It caught my attention because is not only that country citizen having this weird habit it happen to everyone and everywhere. Everywhere you can hear people say, I am looking for happiness and fulfilment in life-smoking, drug... when they heard that my happiness came from just simply Jesus’ love they will look at me with a weird look and lots of doubts because the world (this planet earth) had never offer FOC (Free of Charge) happiness and fulfilment so they rather chose to -nonstop searching everywhere, walk through all the streets, study the map, and even discuss where they can find this 'Happiness and Fulfilment'.

Sometime ago, i bring a friend to believe in Jesus and she happily join us in fellowship as a big family but very soon she turn away from Jesus and the reason is most of the family member (church) not as good as she thought of so she leave. Jesus didn’t promise that when you believe in Him then you will have a problem free life, He didn’t say that when we believe in Him we will become perfect person but in all these He promised, He will be with us when we go through problems, and He say in Him we will be change day by day from glory to glory. Jesus asked us to love one another because He knew that we are still in the process of 'change day by day from glory to glory' so we need love to help one another in this perfecting process rather we conclude- some believe that there is evil spirit in the Holy Mountain so avoiding themselves from it and some conclude that the Holy Mountain is never existed.
In this big family, the entire family member had once 'dead' in ourselves but now we are alive in Jesus. You quite down yourself and be real, flash through all the impossibilities, problems, sadness, disappointments all the negative emotions... even some that you thought you had overcome by your own power they are somehow still at your subconscious bring it out and give them to Jesus then you will experience His LOVE-One day, among the searching crowd suddenly a man fall down, he almost died being step by people. Lying on the floor, in his heart he thought that he is going to died, he look up to the sky and he saw the Holy Mountain highly located in the sky.In our life, there are many falls.
As for me, every fall make me appreciate His love even more because every time as I fall I experience the another expect of Jesus’ love and it lift me up to stand again. This is how I deeply know that the strongest LOVE of God is reveal during the weakest moment of our life. -This was a difficult journey, there were lots of difficulties and along the journey he cannot see the Holy Mountain. Along the journey he fall down a few times, every fall, he will saw the Holy Mountain this gave him the courage to continue this seemingly impossible searching journey.
'Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for i am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls' Mathew 11:28 & 29

CHECK! Did you lost something important?

Human beings have this inborn nature in us that we are always afraid we will lose out on something in our life. Because of this attitude many of us do not want to commit to some 'good' commitment that seemingly will tie us down. For example, 'I do not want to believe in God even though I know He exists and whoever believes in Him will have a free ticket to Heaven because I am still young and I still have time'. 'I want to play enough first' or 'I want to enjoy my life first' or some older adults might be saying, 'I still haven’t die yet when I am weak then I will believe'. All this excuses is because we think that believing God will take away 'something' from us.

I used to have all these same thoughts yet I changed because I heard of this great story...

Many years ago, there is a businessman in South Korea facing bankruptcy due to some business problems. One of his friends introduced him to a local pastor as he planned to commit suicide to settle the problem. After hearing godly words of encouragement from the pastor he decided to trust God to face his business problems since that’s the only way left. He joined his faith with the pastor and went into intensive prayer. One day he told the pastor that he heard from the Lord that he is going to change his business to selling salt. Wow! The pastor marvel over it because he still have debts and lots of business problems to settle yet because he claim its from God so the pastor again joined faith with him in prayer to trust that he will have all the favor he needs to see it fulfilled. At that time, selling salt looked so impossible to everyone. The Lord indeed opened the way for him, and a bank was willing to lend him a sum of money to start the business despite all the debts that he was carrying.

The man started his business near a river bank. The favor of the Lord was upon him; his faith in God grew as he prospered in his business. After many years, he finally paid off all his debts and he start to prosper and finance the kingdom of God and he always followed the pastor to travel to places to minister to the poor with the gospel.

One day, the greatest flood ever recorded in local history swept through South Korea...

The river bank where the man had built his salt factory was immersed under the great flood. The pastor panicked, because this man almost committed suicide when he failed in his first business so this time he predicted the worst thing will happen to the businessman and he might have doubt in God. So the pastor quickly ran to the salt factory. Because the flood was so bad, the pastor had to get there by boat. When he reached the factory, he saw many nylon packs floating everywhere; all the salt had already melted in the flood. He saw the businessman, standing in the midst of all the floating salt bags and jumping and shouting, he thought of the worst: that the businessman was insane already or had a mental breakdown. But when he came near to the businessman he heard that he was praising and giving thanks to God! The pastor said in his heart, ‘Oh God, I am so sorry that he is so out of control in his mind till he praised Your name at the wrong time. I am so sorry, God.’

When the businessman saw the pastor he ran and hugged the pastor and started to thank him... oh this made the pastor even more worried...

The businessman knew he had lost everything and he is again in debts because the factory was fully packed with all the stock and he lost everything in the flood but he said, ‘I can lose everything but one thing I will never lose is my salvation in Christ Jesus. All things come from Him and I own nothing of mine, this factory belongs to God. He is the One Who gives and surely He can bless me again, I give thanks because I lost nothing!’

His immoveable faith in Christ had stunned the pastor!

The businessman lost his salt factory and entered into another round of serious financial debts. The pastor and the businessman again entered into serious prayer and asked God for guidance on how to go about. Again the man heard from God that he is to start a salt factory. He followed what the Lord had said and went to ask for a bank loan. This issue had triggered the concern of the local government since he used to be a successful salt seller. The bank approved a sum of money with extremely low interest and the government gave approval for a piece of land that are much bigger than the previous land that he had and as a bonus, the first few years are free of land tax. When he viewed the land, it was a piece of land that is at the high ground and with beautiful mountains as the backdrop; it’s just so suitable for his factory! The Lord prospered him in all things in his hand. Finally he was able to clear all his debts and he became the owner of the second largest salt factory in Southern Korea! Now he is a billionaire that travels actively with his pastor to everywhere to testify of the goodness of God.

After i heard about this testimony, immediately i check on myself... Did i lost somethings? Of course not! I have Him in my heart all the time.
So, friends... Check it yourself, did you lost something?

The millions frogs

A farmer came into town and asked the owner of a restaurant if he could use a million frog legs. The restaurant owner was shocked and asked the man where he could get so many frog legs! The farmer replied, 'There is a pond near my house that is full of frogs - millions of them. They all croak all night long and they are about to make me crazy!' So the restaurant owner and the farmer made an agreement that the farmer would deliver frogs to the restaurant, five hundred at a time for the next several weeks.

The first week, the farmer returned to the restaurant looking rather sheepish, with two scrawny little frogs. The restaurant owner said, 'Well... where are all the frogs?' The farmer said, 'I was mistaken. There were only these two frogs in the pond.. But they sure were making a lot of noise!'


The moral of the story is...

Next time you hear somebody criticizing or making fun of you, remember, it's probably just a couple of noisy frogs. Also remember that problems always seem bigger in the dark. Have you ever laid in your bed at night worrying about things which seem almost overwhelming like a million frogs croaking? Chances are pretty good that when the morning comes, and you take a closer look, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.


Distance of our hearts

One day, there is a smart professor ask his student the following questions:
Why must people shout when they got angry?





All the students think for sometime, one of the student say:
Because we lost our 'patience' thats why we shouted.




Professor ask again,
"But the people just next to you, you still shout, why can't you speak lower volume? Why must always shout?"



Almost all the student just noisy and busy discussing yet not an answer can satisfies the professor.



Finally, the professor say:
"When two persons get angry, the heart distance are very far, to cover the distance between two hearts so they have to shout so that the other person can hear."




"But shouting makes people feel more angry, more angry make the distance of hearts further, further is the distance, shouting got to be lauder..."




Professor continue to say:
"What is going to happen when two persons are deeply in love? The situation is just so opposite, there is not only no shouting but there is only soft and kind words, why?"



"Because their hearts are very near to one another, there is almost no distance between their hearts, thats why couple that are in deep love almost talk near the ears yet the love in the hearts grow deeper and at the end no words can be express,



"All they need to do is from their eyes there speaks the feeling, when it happen there is already no distance between two hearts...
Finally, Professor make a conclusion




"When two persons are quarreling, do not allow the hearts to have distance, also do not speak those words that will make the distance between two hearts grow further away,

After a few days, very naturally the distance between two hearts no so far away then can have a good talk!!"

Turtles's Story


A turtle family decided to go on a picnic. The turtles, being naturally slow about things, took seven years to prepare for their outing. Finally the turtle family left home looking for a suitable place.

During the second year of their journey they found a place ideal for them at last! For about six months they cleaned the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed. After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left.

Three years passed and the little turtle had not returned. Five years...six years... then on the seventh year of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He announced that he was going to eat and begun to unwrap a sandwich. At that point the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, 'See! I knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go and get the salt.'

The moral of the story is...
Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectations. We are so concerned about what others are doing that we don't do anything ourselves.
