CHECK! Did you lost something important?

Human beings have this inborn nature in us that we are always afraid we will lose out on something in our life. Because of this attitude many of us do not want to commit to some 'good' commitment that seemingly will tie us down. For example, 'I do not want to believe in God even though I know He exists and whoever believes in Him will have a free ticket to Heaven because I am still young and I still have time'. 'I want to play enough first' or 'I want to enjoy my life first' or some older adults might be saying, 'I still haven’t die yet when I am weak then I will believe'. All this excuses is because we think that believing God will take away 'something' from us.

I used to have all these same thoughts yet I changed because I heard of this great story...

Many years ago, there is a businessman in South Korea facing bankruptcy due to some business problems. One of his friends introduced him to a local pastor as he planned to commit suicide to settle the problem. After hearing godly words of encouragement from the pastor he decided to trust God to face his business problems since that’s the only way left. He joined his faith with the pastor and went into intensive prayer. One day he told the pastor that he heard from the Lord that he is going to change his business to selling salt. Wow! The pastor marvel over it because he still have debts and lots of business problems to settle yet because he claim its from God so the pastor again joined faith with him in prayer to trust that he will have all the favor he needs to see it fulfilled. At that time, selling salt looked so impossible to everyone. The Lord indeed opened the way for him, and a bank was willing to lend him a sum of money to start the business despite all the debts that he was carrying.

The man started his business near a river bank. The favor of the Lord was upon him; his faith in God grew as he prospered in his business. After many years, he finally paid off all his debts and he start to prosper and finance the kingdom of God and he always followed the pastor to travel to places to minister to the poor with the gospel.

One day, the greatest flood ever recorded in local history swept through South Korea...

The river bank where the man had built his salt factory was immersed under the great flood. The pastor panicked, because this man almost committed suicide when he failed in his first business so this time he predicted the worst thing will happen to the businessman and he might have doubt in God. So the pastor quickly ran to the salt factory. Because the flood was so bad, the pastor had to get there by boat. When he reached the factory, he saw many nylon packs floating everywhere; all the salt had already melted in the flood. He saw the businessman, standing in the midst of all the floating salt bags and jumping and shouting, he thought of the worst: that the businessman was insane already or had a mental breakdown. But when he came near to the businessman he heard that he was praising and giving thanks to God! The pastor said in his heart, ‘Oh God, I am so sorry that he is so out of control in his mind till he praised Your name at the wrong time. I am so sorry, God.’

When the businessman saw the pastor he ran and hugged the pastor and started to thank him... oh this made the pastor even more worried...

The businessman knew he had lost everything and he is again in debts because the factory was fully packed with all the stock and he lost everything in the flood but he said, ‘I can lose everything but one thing I will never lose is my salvation in Christ Jesus. All things come from Him and I own nothing of mine, this factory belongs to God. He is the One Who gives and surely He can bless me again, I give thanks because I lost nothing!’

His immoveable faith in Christ had stunned the pastor!

The businessman lost his salt factory and entered into another round of serious financial debts. The pastor and the businessman again entered into serious prayer and asked God for guidance on how to go about. Again the man heard from God that he is to start a salt factory. He followed what the Lord had said and went to ask for a bank loan. This issue had triggered the concern of the local government since he used to be a successful salt seller. The bank approved a sum of money with extremely low interest and the government gave approval for a piece of land that are much bigger than the previous land that he had and as a bonus, the first few years are free of land tax. When he viewed the land, it was a piece of land that is at the high ground and with beautiful mountains as the backdrop; it’s just so suitable for his factory! The Lord prospered him in all things in his hand. Finally he was able to clear all his debts and he became the owner of the second largest salt factory in Southern Korea! Now he is a billionaire that travels actively with his pastor to everywhere to testify of the goodness of God.

After i heard about this testimony, immediately i check on myself... Did i lost somethings? Of course not! I have Him in my heart all the time.
So, friends... Check it yourself, did you lost something?
